This guide explains how to enable mobile data connectivity for your vehicle’s infotainment system or built-in IoT module using the VoicePing IoT Data SIM.
The same setup applies to Land Rover / Range Rover, and also works for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Toyota, and other vehicles that support SIM data connectivity.
Access the Mobile Data Menu
Touch Mobile Data to open the MOBILE SETTINGS pop-up menu. The MOBILE SETTINGS pop-up menu displays:
- Network Provider
- Roaming
- Usage Limit
- Usage
- SIM PIN
Configure the APN and Roaming
Network Provider:
The network provider of the inserted SIM is displayed.
To change the APN settings:
- Select the Network Provider’s name to open the NETWORK PROVIDER screen.
- Set Auto Select to Off.
- Add the Network manually:
Network name (APN): cmlink - Select Connect.
Username: Not required
Password: Not required
SIM PIN: Not required
Roaming Settings
- Data Roaming is set to Off by default.
- Select On to enable roaming for data connectivity for VoicePing SIM
Usage Limit
The Usage Limit should be set to Off to ensure uninterrupted data usage.
You can view your current data usage or reset it from the same menu.
Connectivity Status Icons
Once your SIM is connected, the vehicle’s infotainment display will show a small icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
These icons indicate your current mobile data connection status:

Tip: When the 4G/LTE icon is visible, your VoicePing IoT SIM is connected and functioning correctly.If the icon shows E/2G or disappears, check the SIM seating, coverage area, or APN settings.

Once the configuration is complete, your vehicle’s infotainment system will automatically connect using the VoicePing IoT Data SIM whenever mobile signal is available.
This enables seamless use of navigation, live updates, music streaming, and connected services - all powered by reliable IoT data.
The steps above are compatible with most modern cars equipped with SIM or eSIM connectivity, including car GPS trackers, telematics modules, fleet systems, and in-car Wi-Fi units.
